Nymphs

Nymphs are beautiful magical maidens inhabiting woods, rivers, mountains, seas, meadows, and trees. They are often employed by beings in positions of importance or power such as the Spirit of Knowledge. Nymphs age very slowly, like merpeople and satyrs, and can live for hundreds of years. Nymphs are believed to have the ability to capture unicorns, though that belief is not proven.

It would be cool if there were a Fairy Chronicles book where the fairy team travels under the ocean to save the land of the merpeople! There could be some mythology in it, too. The fairies could also meet naiads and nereids (sea nymphs). Then, there could be a new water fairy introduced in the fairy team! I'd like to write a story like that!

Satyrs are magical woodland creatures that are part human and part goat. You will meet them in Moonflower's story, which comes out this winter! Satyrs and merpeople don't have their own Fairy Handbook entries in these books, but they do in later ones. You'll just have to keep reading to find out all the details!

What is a satyr?
And why aren't merpeople or satyrs in the Fairy Handbook?

I bet it would be cool if Nyphs caught unicorns. Even if i say so myself anyone would like a unicorn as a pet!

I love hearing about mythical creatures because you know myths are made from a little truth.
