Sandman
 

One of the five S-Men, the Sandman is a magical being whose job is to help induce sleep. He travels the world, putting creatures of all kinds to sleep by tossing magical sleep sand into their eyes. The Sandman is a glittering sand color all over, about fourteen inches high, and very thin. His hat and shoes are pointy; and he has a long beard, curled in a spiral like a corkscrew that reaches all the way down to his pointed toes.

Snowdrop Fairy,
I guess the Sandman did come and visit you!You can read about him in Dragonfly and the Web of Dreams.He goes on a trip with them to the Dream Spider.The Dream Spider is rainbow colored.There's a picture of him in the book.
