Squits are fluffy, furry, magical creatures, invisible to regular people. When dry, they are about as large as basketballs. When wet, they are about the size of baseballs. Adults can be any color, but squitlings are usually light purple. Squits generally live with dwarves. They like to bounce around catching and eating air flies. In forested areas, their bouncing serves the purpose of spreading lichen, mosses, and mushroom spores. The plant bits are carried from place to place on the squits' fat feet.
